The Last Exorcism Part 2 (2013) is a supernatural horror film directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly. This movie turns back from the first part of found footage to a typical horror film but the plot is still a little bit confused as before.

The Last Exorcism Part Ii Movie Plot Story & Ending Explanation

The movie starts with a couple Jared & Lily finding Nell at their apartment. She is possessed by the demon Abalam. Jared & Lily takes her to the hospital where she confirms in a state of catatonic schizophrenia.

A maid named Cecile gives bath Neel. She is a devotee and finds something unusual in Nell. So, she cuts a little hair and takes it to her.

Nell talks to a psychiatrist and knows that everyone except her died in the fire where she came from. That means Abalam kills everyone in the ritual that we see in the 1st part of the movie.

Then she was sent to a transitional house to start a new life. There she meets the caretaker of the house named Frank. He gives her a cross neckless but Nell put it in the pocket.

Spending a few months in the transitional house Nell feels better than before and recover a lot. She is now doing a part-time job. There Nell meets Chris who is a coworker of hers. They start liking each other.

One day after working hours Nell goes for a walk. Suddenly a statue man becomes possessed and tells her that he missed her. Then she sees her father Louis for a few moments and vanishes. Nell thinks it was just an illusion.

Later that day many unusual phenomena start happening there. As the things get darker it reveals that Abalam is back.

Why Does Nell Kill Others in The Last Exorcism 2 Movie?

Nell was desperately wishing to escape from Abalam. She lost everything for the demon. So she wanted to help humans but when the members of the Order of the Right-Hand fails to free her, they decide to kill her. Which makes Nell so angry and frustrated with humans and starts killing.

Is Nell Possessed in The End?

No. At the end of the Last Exorcism Part 2, Nell was consciously killed humans and accompanied by Abalam. Because in the whole movie we see the possessed person’s eyes turn red or black but in the end, Nells’ eyes were normal and full of human anger.

Why Did Nell Put Fire in Every Building at The End of The Film?

Nell becomes frustrated with human behavior and selflessness.

From the very beginning, pastor Manley & her brother Caleb turned into evil devotees, Marcus was a fraud preacher, and when her exorcism video leaked the public tries to get selfies with her, and lastly, the order of right hands killed her. So how can someone’s faith stay in humanity? This is the reason Nell put fire in every human building.
